Nellie (Belvill) Chester's Pie Crust

1 lb 14 oz of Primix (shortening)

2 cups of boiling water

8 cups of flour

1/2 cup of sugar

1 tsp of lemon juice

2 tsp salt

Put flour in bowl, add sugar and salt

melt shortening and lemon juice in boiling water till disolved

put wet mixture with flour mixture

stir until it becomes a ball

refrigerate over night

then set out till soft and roll out

(that's all there was)

Alice Garrison's (Bevill) Swedish Meatballs

3 Lbs Hamburger, 1/4 Lb Saugage, 1 medium grated onion more or less (to taste),

1 Tsp. salt to accent, 1/4 Tps. Nutmeg, 1/2 Tsp. Allspice,

6 Tbsp. Cornstarch, 6 Tbsp. Flour, 1 1/2 Cup of Milk,

3 or 4 Eggs whipped real good.

Brown in pan and put in kettle of water with salt, onion and celery,

boil about 1 hour.
